Spend Some Time in Nature

Improve your mood and health by spending more time outdoors.

You spend all winter cooped up indoors. Fluorescent lights, shorter days, layers of clothing, and constantly having the heater on. If you couldn’t guess, I hate winter (I say that and I grew up in Michigan). Thankfully, I don’t have to worry about any of that this time of year.

Summer is great because you can do so much more outdoors, and in relatively more comfort than you can in the winter time. Yes, it might be a little warm out. Yes, you might sweat a little. But why are you spending more time than absolutely necessary indoors in the air conditioning? There’s a whole world out there to experience, even if it’s only in your local neighborhood! If you’re worried about sweat, take a damn shower when you get home from a day of fun!

This is the time for exploration. For trying new foods, going on adventures, and enjoying as much time as possible in the environment we evolved from. There is something peaceful and connecting about simply spending more time outdoors. So as you read this, I hope that you’re outside. If not, what are you waiting for!? I’m not going to keep you any longer, so go out and enjoy all of the things that Mother Nature provides!
